Anyone who owns a baptismal font or would like to purchase one should know: Without the right Accessories quickly make use of the system inconvenient. Especially when it comes to transport, assembly, or emptying, details sometimes count. Reason enough to explore the topic here and offer you a few selected tips.

Our goal is to support you with the simplest and most practical solutions possible – so that your team's joy on baptism day isn't spoiled by poor equipment. So share your tips!

# Tireless: Cordless screwdriver

Sure, you can also screw by hand. However, if you want to assemble your pool in the legendary 15 minutes, you'll need a cordless screwdriver. It should be handy (i.e., weigh less than 1 kg) and have a so-called slip clutch. You set the slip clutch to 2 Nm, and you can quickly start screwing without worrying about any losses. A model that was recommended to us and has been a pleasure to use for a long time is the Bosch GSR 12V-15 For a quick hole in wood or concrete, no other tool would be needed – just keep the drilling function away from the baptismal font.

The TX30 bit required for mounting the screws is included in every assembly kit, so you can start assembling immediately after delivery.

# Indestructible: Case

Especially with regular use or if the pool is often transported to rented locations, the question quickly arises: How do we store the whole thing sensibly? The shipping box will last a while – but not forever. And if you improvise, you risk damaging the material or losing accessories along the way.

After a long search for a dimensionally suitable solution, we found a convincing solution from our favorite music store, Thomann. Unfortunately, this one is quite expensive and is also quite oversized for our purposes. Therefore, we developed a great solution ourselves that fits our budget and Baptizo Rockbox was born! A custom-made transport box with a well-thought-out design, sturdy Blue Wheels, aluminum handles, and a functional removable lid. The interior dimensions of 105 x 48 x 70 cm offer space for cymbals and accessories. The Rockbox comes as a smart kit and is significantly more affordable than comparable professional cases. Anyone who wants to do something good for themselves and their baptism team in the long term will here found.

# Indispensable: submersible pump

A good submersible pump is worth its weight in gold (or rather, time) – and it adds up. With an exemplary 11,000 l/h flow rate, even our Grand model is empty in less than 10 minutes. So, this should be something to pay attention to. There's another problem with the suction level of these models: With shallow suction pumps (intended for tiled basements), the suction opening attracts the water liner, which is bad for neither the flow rate nor the liner. While this risk doesn't exist with large dirty water pumps with large inlet openings (intended for garden ponds), a fairly large amount of water remains in the pool. It's too heavy to simply tip out. After a long search and experimentation with cake racks, we've developed a "best practice" for this as well: We recommend a pump with a suction height of 25 millimeters and "pulling" the liner in the last minute of the suction process. For more details, please see our installation instructions .

Oh yes: If you don’t have the time or inclination to put together all the accessories yourself: Our Baptizo Essentials Kit Contains everything you need to get started. Perfectly matched to our baptismal font and ready to use!
