Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Which liner color is recommended?

While the light blue liner makes the water look authentically “beautifully blue,” the light gray liner is more neutral in appearance, allowing the Baptizo to blend perfectly into your color scheme. Around two-thirds of all customers choose light gray—but our favorite color is and always will be light blue! Light blue would definitely be our recommendation if anyone asked us.

How do you baptize in the Bapitzo? Is there enough room for tall people?
In principle, there are several options. We highly recommend the following variation:
-
The person being baptized and, for example, two baptizers stand in the basin (conversation, baptismal verse, etc.).
-
The person being baptized sits down and crosses their arms in front of their chest
-
.
-
The baptizers kneel down next to them and place one hand on the front and one hand on the back.
-
Depending on their height, the legs of the person being baptized are slightly bent or crossed (cross-legged). Even with the “original” basin size, people over 2m tall can be baptized in this way – if necessary, we ask the person to slide forward a little.
-
For the actual baptism (after a baptismal formula), the upper body of the person being baptized is simply tilted backward
-
Afterward, please lift the person being baptized back up :)
On request, we will be happy to send you a video of one of our baptisms.

When is which size recommended?
The original version (155 cm) is smaller, lighter, quicker to fill and empty. If you have a lot of baptisms per year, this makes a big difference. With this version, there is plenty of room in the basin for the person being baptised and a baptiser. However, the whole thing is still possible with two baptizers in the pool. This size is also ideal for smaller locations and if the baptism is only part of the event.
The grand version (185 cm) looks significantly larger and more festive. It comfortably accommodates a total of 3 people. People taller than 1.90 m do not have to cross their legs as much. We recommend this version especially for large rooms and when the pool is in the center of the room or the focus of the event.

Due to popular demand, we have also been offering the impressive Apostle version (D215 cm) since the beginning of 2022 for even more space.

How do you assemble the Baptizo?
Assembly is really easy:
-
Lay out the puzzle-shaped floor pads.
-
Use a cordless screwdriver to screw the side panels to the floor to form a long strip.
-
Set up and connect the ends.
-
Clamp the pool liner inside.
-
Fill with water. Done.
That's it! You can find all the details in the instructions supplied. You can also download the detailed assembly instructions here (German/English) directly.

How safe is the baptismal font?
The Baptizo was manufactured with great care and to the best of our knowledge. As a tool mechanic, plastics technician, and mechanical engineer, I was able to calculate the strength and stability of the font using modern computer-aided simulations. The swimming pool liner inside comes from Germany and is custom-made for us by the European market leader at considerable expense.
Well over 1000 baptisms have already been performed in our baptismal fonts without any incidents. When stored properly and used as intended, the Baptizo is completely safe.

Customs, import sales tax, and delivery time to Switzerland?
We are happy to ship to Switzerland on a regular basis. You can order as normal via the online shop and select “Switzerland” as the shipping destination. In accordance with § 4 No. 1a UStG, this is a tax-free export delivery to a third country, so we do not charge German VAT. Please note that you will also be charged Swiss import sales tax and a customs handling fee (we ship with DAP delivery terms). This additional fee (approx. 100 CHF) will be invoiced to you separately by the shipping service provider. To make this a little easier for you, we will waive the EU export costs for all Swiss orders, meaning you will not pay any shipping costs.

After placing your order, you will receive an invoice from us within 24 hours by email with all relevant payment information. Once payment has been received, we will hand over your shipment to the shipping service provider within 1-3 business days. The package delivery time is then approx. 5-10 business days. It therefore takes a total of approx. 1-3 weeks from placing your order to receiving your baptismal font.
